David Copperfield?s traveling show An Intimate Evening of Grand Illusion continues to take the country by storm. Tonight he played two shows at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium in beautiful Raleigh, North Carolina.

The Herald-Sun conducted an interview with Mr. Copperfield through email in advance of his appearance and it is really pretty fascinating.

Consider the discussion about Dreams and Nightmares:

?HS: The show is based on people’s dreams. As someone who has been called a “living legend,” has traveled the world and has plenty of money, what is your dream?

DC: I am living my dream, and for that, I am grateful. I get to travel the world and perform my show every single night. I really cannot imagine or dream of something else that I would rather be doing.

HS: Speaking of dreams, what is your worst nightmare?

DC: Coming to the Memorial Auditorium in Raleigh and nobody being there. Of course, something going wrong with an illusion would be a nightmare. In 1982, I was doing a levitation illusion with a Ferrari and it fell, almost crushing me. There was no backup plan; it was very embarrassing. It did help the shows; I think people came to see if it would happen again.?

Mr. Copperfield writes that his greatest honor is that received on behalf of his Project Magic initiative. He developed the program in 1982 to assist in the mental and physical rehabilitation of patients…
