Special News from the IBM – Lifetime Honor for Siegfried & Roy

A first ever, Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to the Super Stars of Magic Siegfried & Roy by the International President of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, David Sandy, at a magicians? seminar in January in Las Vegas, Nevada. The association, also known as the ?I.B.M.,? is the largest organized group of magicians in the world.

Siegfried & Roy have entertained millions of people during their 40-year career. Their show was closed at the Mirage Hotel & Casino following an accident during a performance October 3, 2003, when Roy suffered a stroke and was dragged off stage by a 600 pound white tiger. Roy Horn was not present for the presentation. He is continuing to make a remarkable recovery from the effects of multiple strokes and being caught in the jaws of the huge white tiger.

The magic-duo has been pioneers in integrating wild animals into their spectacular magic act. They turned a featured 12-minute act into a full evening production with specially written music, dance, illusion and the beauty of the endangered white tigers, white lions, and other animals that included cheetahs, panthers, a snake and an elephant.
