In Today?s Magic News, we have nothing but good and positive material. You?ll learn about the USDA?s latest move in the Siegfried & Roy Tape Struggle, David Merry?s plans for October, the Return of Jack Barrows to Colon, and Trey Cromwell and Michael Taggert?s Upcoming Show in Fredericksburg.
Before we jump into the news, we have two items to mention: a contest and a correction.
The Contest
Two years ago, Inside Magic named Henry Evans the Inside Magic Magician of the Year. He was very kind and thanked us for the honor and we felt good about ourselves. Last year, we were to announce the Magician of the Year in the first week of October but the tragedy at the Mirage on October 3rd overshadowed any announcement we could have made.

In the first week of October, this year, we will name the Inside Magic Magician of the Year for 2004 and we need your help. Please send your nominations to us at the email address below.
Here are the rules. The nominee: 1) must have actually performed, written, lectured or taught magic in 2004; 2) need not be a professional or semi-professional magician; 3) need not be well-known around the world; 4) need not be of any specific age or gender; and 5) must have demonstrated his or her commitment to the Art of Magic through his or her work in 2004.
