Houdini?s Niece and popular lecturer on the magic circuit, Marie H. Blood passed away Tuesday after a two-month illness.
Ms. Blood was such a kind and giving person and she will be missed.In lieu of flowers the family has established a foundation in Marie’s honor called the “Houdini Family Young Magicians Foundation” (HFYMF). The purpose is to assist young magicians pursue their interest in magic.
Tax deductible donations may be made payable to the “S.A.M. Magic Endowment Fund”, Attention: Donation to HFYMF, 234 Town Court, Lower Gwynedd, PA 19002.
On Sunday, the family has scheduled visitation and a Broken Wand Ceremony. Ms. Blood?s funeral mass is scheduled for Monday, November 8th at 10 am. It will be held at St. Lawrence Church, 1000 North Greece Rd, Rochester, NY 14626.

David Copperfield?s New York stalker pickets every show, claims the magician is ?supernatural,? and Satan. Mr. Copperfield said he used to be ?unnerved? by the deranged man. He designed a trick to push the poor guy over the edge or to end the obsession.
Two years ago, Mr. Copperfield?s staff took a picture of the stalker ? wearing his the same overalls he apparently dons each time he tries to attack Satan or Mr. Copperfield.
This year, as the show returned to the Big Apple, Mr. Copperfield went outside to meet the protester.
“I put the picture in my pocket and my friend took a Polaroid camera and went outside to meet the guy with me. I went up to him and said, ‘Sir, I’d like to introduce myself, I am David Copperfield and I’m sure your heart’s in the right place but I am not supernatural.’
“And I said, ‘Would you mind if I get a picture with you..?’ I put my arm around him and my friend took a picture of me, the guy and the sign.
“The picture comes out of the Polaroid camera and I put it in my pocket and I took two steps away and I said, ‘You know sir, I would like you to have that picture.?I reached into my pocket and pulled out the picture from two years ago – the one without me in it. I handed it to him and I walked away.”

Las Vegas Police arrested Cole Ford, former Oakland Raiders place kicker, for a September drive-by shooting at Siegfried & Roy?s home. Inside Magic has followed this story since the night of the bizarre events.
Mr. Ford allegedly drove his white minivan to the duo?s compound here in Las Vegas, fired several shots and screamed that Siegfried & Roy should leave the United States.No one was hurt in the shooting but police reports documented several areas of damage to the building?s structure.
The Oakland Raiders released Mr. Ford after he missed two crucial kicks. Since leaving the NFL, he has become a drifter.Mr. Ford has been involved in several bizarre incidents since leaving the NFL. There was nothing to indicate his animus towards Siegfried & Roy, German-Americans, or even Magicians.
He faces six felony warrant charges of discharging a firearm from a motor vehicle and two felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
