The Spencers to Appear in Wilkes Barre, PA

Kevin and Cindy Spencer take their show further on the road with a stop today (Saturday) in Wilkes Barre?s F.M. Kirby Center. Mr. Spencer spoke with reporters in anticipation of tonight?s show.

“We’re not just a magic show. We’re much more than that. I think the two things that help make our show so unique are our great love of both magic and theater and that transforms into our show.

“We like to believe our show combines the best elements of both. In addition to my wife, we also have two support technicians that travel with us and I think the audience will be pleasantly surprised.”

Indeed, if the Wilkes Barre?s audience is similar to the others that have crowded to see The Spencer?s Theatre of Illusion, they will be very pleased.

The magic couple have been on tour for more than 10 years and given more than 2,000 performances around the world.

Mr. Spencer was mum, however, when reporters asked him to describe the show?s finale. Cryptically, he said ?It involves 250 gallons of water and some great magic!”

Siegfried & Roy Shooter May Plead Insanity

Cole Ford Formally Charged

Clark County Public Defender says Cole Ford may seek insanity defense in Siegfried & Roy shooting.  Police arrested Mr. Ford, a former NFL Place Kicker, for firing five shotgun blasts at the duo?s Las Vegas home.

Mr. Ford played three years in the NFL, going from Hero to Goat when he missed crucial season-ending kicks.  Mr. Ford has lived in and around Las Vegas most recently but until this week, authorities were unable to locate the drifter.

The Public Defender told reporters ?it?s clear Mr. Ford?s mental state is an issue.?

Fortunately, no one was hurt in the shooting, but police say shotgun pellets broke windows and left a hole in the wall at the home of the award-winning magicians.

Mr. Ford could face up to 27 years in prison if convicted of all charges.  He remained in custody at the Clark County jail following his arrest Tuesday at a copy store near the Las Vegas Strip.
