?Thanks.I am grateful to be here.I have been in and out of the program for a while and I know that I?ve got another bender in me but I don?t know if I have another recovery out there.
?It started out pretty simple.But I guess everyone says that.No one ever says, ?I?m going to be addicted to everything done by two magicians from some country where the water runs the opposite way down drains, has weird animals and cold summers.?But you know what they say, ?one video is too much and a thousand are not enough.?It is bad but I know I have control whether to pick up that first one.
?I received the DVD 24 Years of Living Next Door to Ellis.I looked at the outside and opened it up.It looked professionally produced.There was a picture of Sue-Anne on it but before you start talking about my infatuation and weakness for her, I should tell you that she was made-up like the snoopy next-door neighbor.(You could still see her beautiful blue eyes ? they match a thumb tip later in the DVD). I thought I could resist it pretty easily.I didn?t think I would have a problem with it.The lies we tell ourselves, right?

There is a strangely negative article in the Viet Nam News this morning.The article?s tone seems bizarre to one, like me, outside the small world of international circus competition.
It must be the translation into English but the article?s theme reads as: ?Viet Nam?s circus industry is boring, its skills are unappreciated by all other circus performers, its magicians are ignored even though they are as good as David Copperfield, the only thing new it has to offer are costumes ? and even they are not that impressive.?
And this is the official news organ of Viet Nam.Who knew?If you had asked us the state of Viet Nam?s circus competition entries, we would have guessed it was probably not bad and maybe even pretty good.Well, now we know.
Magicians Tony Quang and Lan Dai of Ho Chi Minh City will present their magic act featuring their ?favourite attraction, hypnotising a girl, which won them a silver medal in the last contest.?
Despite the negative vibe from the News Service, Mr. Quang is optimistic and positive, sort of.?Such an international playground is a golden chance for us to show off our talent, and also to secure Viet Nam?s global circus reputation. We need an official organisation to gather promising magicians. Unlike other magicians, who may hide their skills, I have lots of experience and materials to share with colleagues and to train new performers.”
Mr. Quang told the reporter Viet Nam?s magicians needed the state to provide ?proper investment and care? to bring them along.With this assistance, Vietnamese magicians would seem on par with those from the west.

When we were reading the Prescott Arizona Daily Courier’s feature article on one of the giants in our industry, we couldn’t help but wonder if we were in another universe.The article was written as if the reporter had to be convinced by others that EarlNelson was actually a magician, and a world-famous one at that.
The reporter describes Mr.Nelson as a “semi-retired magician who has worked both Los Angeles and Las Vegas, [and] now calls Dewey, Arizona, his home and occasionally works a local event.”To corroborate Mr.Nelson‘s modest claim that he is known in the magic community, MikeCavney speaks on his behalf.
